Over the course of nearly 80 miles from Interstate 95, Interstate 75 serves as the only east-west freeway corridor between Southwest Florida (Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral) and South Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach).  It passes through the Everglades via the Everglades Parkway/Alligator Alley, crossing about two-thirds of the way through the Everglades.  Drivers can spend hours sitting by the wayside lured by the peace and calm (and relative monotony) of the Everglades.  The sun has started going down while I was on the I-75 so I had thought of looking for a campground or a hotel once I get to Naples.
